Do i need a Medical Statement to dive in Thailand?

Back to faqs

In most cases, a medical statement is not required to dive in Thailand. However:
1. Health Questionnaire
• Before diving, you’ll be asked to complete a standard medical questionnaire.
• If you answer “Yes” to any of the health conditions listed, you may need a medical clearance from a doctor.
2. Proactive Medical Clearance
• If you have any pre-existing medical conditions (e.g., asthma, heart issues, or recent surgeries), it’s a good idea to get a medical statement from your doctor before your trip.
3. Dive Operators’ Policy
• Some dive centers or courses (e.g., professional certifications) may require a valid medical clearance regardless of your health history.

To ensure a smooth experience, check with your dive center in advance and address any health concerns proactively. Safety always comes first!
