APEKS XTX50

Apeks XTX regulators are respected as some of the best SCUBA regulators available and still come at the top in independent reviews around the world. Improving these regulators has not been easy. The new XTX50 takes all that is good from the current version and offers even more with stunning looks and practical improvements.

The 2nd stage has a larger purge button which is easier for diver use and also offers a dual flow rate purge for different operations. We have also redesigned the diver adjustable controls with improved ergonomics on the venturi lever and the Cracking Resistance Control. Every aspect of the new XTX50 has been thought about to bring the whole unit together so that it not only performs exceptionally well but also looks great. The 2nd stage is now manufactured with active protection against infection as all moulded parts are made with an additive that kills MRSA, protects against E-Coli, bacteria and fungi and is also very effective against viruses, mould, yeast and algae. Imitation is of course flattering and there are copies of Apeks equipment.

Apeks regulators are made to high standards in the most advanced factory in the world for regulator design and manufacture with exceptional quality controls. They don’t make regulators for anyone else, so to ensure you get an authentic Apeks regulator their branding is now clearly visible on both the 1st and 2nd stages of the new XTX50.

The XTX50 regulator can be converted from a right-handed hose configuration (as supplied from the APEKS factory) to a left-handed one. This feature is known as the Reversible Venturi System (RVS). Changing the regulator to a left-handed configuration is both quick and simple and can be performed by any APEKS Authorised Service Technician.
The XTX50 incorporates the Diver Changeable Exhaust system (DCE) that gives divers the ability to change from the larger exhaust tee (supplied as standard) to a smaller version. The wider exhaust tee is good for minimal bubble interference (essential for underwater photography) and a narrow exhaust tee offers a smaller, more compact regulator (also ideal for use as an octopus).

All Apeks new XTX regulators are supplied as standard with our flexible, light-weight hoses.

The XTX50 2nd stage incorporates a two-shot high strength composite front cover, improving the durability of the most vulnerable part of the demand valve.

The ergonomic Venturi lever of the XTX50 has been designed to reduce the amount of grit ingress which in turn gives constant, smooth operation.

A new swivel hose connection is available at an extra cost. This allows the demand valve end of the hose connection to rotate and pivot, providing a more comfortable fit.

A new silicone exhaust valve has been used on the XTX50 regulator improving breathing performance.
